Boundaries and Relationship

Boundaries do not separate.

They define.

Without a boundary no form.
Without form no relationship.

Everything that stands in relationship
stands at a boundary.

Not as a wall —
but as a surface of contact.

The fear of boundaries

Many people experience boundaries as loss.
As limitation.
As distance.

But a boundary does not say:
“You are not allowed.”

It says:
“Something different begins here.”

And only where there is difference
can encounter exist.

Boundaries create closeness

Closeness does not arise from dissolution.
Closeness arises from clarity.

Who knows no boundary
cannot hold a relationship.

Because relationship needs two sides.

Not fusion.
Not separation.
But facing.

Boundaries make visible
where I end
and where you begin.

And exactly there
relationship can emerge.

The moving boundary

Boundaries are not rigid.
They are alive.

They change with experience,
with trust,
with understanding.

A healthy boundary is not a fence.
It is a dialogue.

It does not ask:
“How do I keep you out?”

It asks:
“How do we meet properly?”

Final thought

Boundaries are not obstacles to relationship.
They are its condition.

Without boundary only blending.
With boundary encounter.

Relationship needs space.
And space arises at boundaries.
